Allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Robertson and I am a proud native of the granite city of Aberdeen. I have spent over 20 years living and working in both the Middle East and Far East and latterly in the United States. I returned to Scotland in 2018 to follow my passion for Scottish history and a life in Scotland.
Let me take you on a breath-taking journey from the majestic Cairngorm mountains to the spectacular Aberdeenshire coast. The Northeast is a dramatic and spectacular region of Scotland with the King’s residence at Balmoral and Royal Deeside at its heart.
I offer friendly and informative guided tours throughout the Aberdeenshire region. Each tour is tailored to suit your plans and interests.
I typically cater for tour groups of 2 – 8 people, allowing me to provide a bespoke tour experience and personalised service with an informal feel. This allows me to keep a degree of flexibility to your trip. The tours will focus on Royal Deeside and the Northeast of Scotland, but trips further afield would be considered, eg Stirling Castle, Loch Ness, Inverness and Fort George
The tours are friendly and informal and designed to help you immerse yourself into the unique sights, sounds and history of Scotland. I can arrange to pick you up and drop you off from your hotel or cruise ship as required. From the magnificent mountains in the Cairngorms to the stunning rugged North Sea coast, Aberdeenshire offers a diverse and varied landscape, a perfect place to explore.
